Sara is an optimist who is not afraid to see things for what they are. She works on interesting projects with interesting people. Her personal and professional experiences are cumulative, adding to an ongoing process of learning and transformation. Sometimes easy, sometimes hard. Sometimes big, sometimes small.
Sara is a licensed architect since 2005, registrant of the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners, TBAE, and member of the American Institute of Architects, AIA International. She is co-founder of the Hurand Connection Fund with her late brother, Josh Hurand; and national award winning Cleveland Jewish Arts & Culture Lab with Rabbi Zachary Truboff. She has held positions on many nonprofit boards and committees.

Licensed architect in the fine state of Texas since 2006.
Born in Flint, Michigan, a very special place. Ate lots of Dawn Donuts from our family business. Grew up with Flint values from a small midwestern post-industrial city and fell in love with art at the Flint Cultural Center.
